     A phlebotomist (sometimes called a Laboratory Assistant) is a healthcare professional trained in the practice of phlebotomy, the removal of blood from vessels in the body.  Phlebotomists can work in a wide range of settings, from blood collection centers to large hospitals or small physician clinics.
     The wide variety of work places allows phlebotomists to enjoy many career opportunities.  A career in phlebotomy is also great stepping stone into the healthcare field, whether your interest in nursing, laboratory science, or medical school.

Careers in EKG Technology!

     EKG Technicians are healthcare professionals trained in the practice of electrocardiography. EKG technicians perform ekgs, which involves applying electrodes to a patient and printing out a report of their electrical impulses transmitted by the heart.
     An EKG technician with advanced training performing holter monitoring and stress testing is also called a Cardiographic Technologist. Our program prepares you for certification as an EKG technician (CET)or a Cardiographic Technician (CCT).
EKG/Cardiographic Technicians work in the hospital setting, doctor's office, or telemetry unit.
